This image frankly pisses me off... And it should piss off every damn gamer out there... It makes all gamers look like violent sickos who scream out "KILL THEM ALL!" while playing violent games. I can tell you now that I have never done that... Not in all my years of gaming with FPS and RPG games. Hell I started at the age of 13, and even then I didn't scream kill them all over and over again. And I doubt real gamers do that shit. I know of no one who has said that crap in a gaming situation while playing around me, or in an LP (and I've watched tons of LP's so I know). But that doesn't stop stupid idiots on twitter from spreading this crap. It got posted over and over again by idiots hijacking gun control hashtags... All of these idiots are christian conservatives or Trump Supporters, or possibly Russian Bots (more on that later). Here are their stupid posts...
I literally saw it 3 times tonight on twitter... It got me pissed off so much that I decided to write this. I googled the image on the internet and tracked down it's stupid source.... Turns out it's from a political cartoon by some guy named Rob Smith JR. He must be a zealot because only a zealot thinks all gamers scream out "KILL THEM ALL!" while playing. You know who actually did that? School shooters.. Eric Harris did... It's all over text files for his Doom Wads. The Parkland shooter also said crap like that. Both are violent psychopaths. So only violent psychopaths actually scream out "KILL THEM ALL!" while playing violent games... So Robb Smith JR is obviously trying to stereotype 11 million gamers as violent sociopaths after a shooting that had NOTHING to do with games...
And so is every fucking religious zealot fuckhead who reposts this shit. I've been blocking all of them and calling them out on twitter. Other Gamers need to step up and do the same.... These morons won't quit till they learn that this shit is harmful to an identity! Yes that's right, gamers are an identity. Gamers are not Violent Psychopaths! That's fucking stupid to say gamers are that. Only 2-3 gamers actually killed people in mass shootings. Those 2-3 were either Terrorists or violent psychopaths. Most gamers don't go around killing real people. The ones that do have OTHER ISSUES! There is AT LEAST 11 million gamers worldwide. How many are violent psychopaths...Very few... So Stop doing this shit Rob Smith, it's bad. We've been fighting this shit for years. Hack Psychologists have been saying gamers are Violent Psychopaths for ages. They also said games break down the inhibition to kill, gamers were (fictitiously) threatening their lives and other BS. Every time someone respreads a lie like this in any form, It pisses me off... You gamers need to FIGHT this!
Now the russian bot angle. I saw a post on the internet talking about Russian bots "amplifying" school shooting hashtags like #guncontrolnow, #parklandstrong and others. They pretended to be both Conservatives and Liberals... When pretending to be Conservatives they kept on saying "Guns aren't the issue, <insert issue> is!" (that insert issue seems to be violence in entertainment). When pretending to be Liberals they said crap like "NRA Blood is on your hands" and crap like that. Around the same time I started noticing some of these posts with the hashtags started to attack violent games. Pretty soon it was hundreds of tweets All demeaning violent games and saying Guns aren't the issue. I don't know if these people posting these cartoons are Russian bots, bot one guy posting video game bashing crap was exposed as a russian bot by someone else. Guess what he made himself look like? A Trump Supporter. Now whether this guy was really a Russian Bot I don't know... But IF Russian bots are behind the video game violence crap, this will be bad. It will mark the first time Bots/hackers started a moral panic. I don't know about that, but people need to fight this crap like crazy now. I am doing my part. You need to do you're part gamers... It's critical. This could be a BIG moral Panic.... Try to fight it! In some way... I've seen a lot less posts saying video games don't cause violence than I would have hoped. Only 15-20 at most. I suggest you all use the hashtag #videogamesdontcauseviolence in your tweets along side any (or all) of the following hashtags...
